Thought this had been lost in a hd crash, but I managed to find the original instrumental version of my Coming Home track, thought I'd share it here :D

You know, to be completely honest, I always thought that the Dub was lacking some energy and character. I guess now that I think about it, I feel most dubs are that way, and of course, most dubs are composed / engineered to interweave both voice and song. The vocalist adds their own energy, and as a result, the track and the vocals come together, creating their own level of liveliness.

Having said that, this track is completely different. Not to knock on Tiff...she does great work with her voice, but I've got to give credit where credit is due. I like this version far better than both the vocal and the dub mixes. The tone of the track is far less reserved. I love it!

Thanks for sharing this! :)

Thanks for sharing!

I've been attempting to transition into a production mode in the past year or so. It always fascinates me how one person create so many instrument lines and fuse them into a meaningful composition. Technology is great, eh!

Hey, if you can give a few tips on where to start and I mean the simple stuff, that'll be fantastic. For example, is it a good idea to try and recreate somebody's work and then create your own remix of that work? Or is it better to play with ideas for your own original and start with that?

What's a good beginner's sequencer package? Thanks! =p
